NSW;Two HMAS Sydney protesters in court today- police
Two men will face a Sydney court today charged over a protest that delayed the departureof an Australian warship bound for the Persian Gulf.
Peace activists yesterday scaled the sides of HMAS Sydney and unfurled an anti-warbanner in a high-profile protest that brought the vessel to a halt.
Ten people were arrested.
Two New Zealanders, aged 38 and 33, are due to appear in the Downing Centre Local Courttoday charged with wilfully preventing the free passage of a vessel.
The remaining protesters were charged with the same offence and are expected to facecourt on April 30.
