A five-strong team of pupils from years seven to eleven travelled to Whitby to take part in the annual quiz in aid of Saint Catherineas Hospice in Scarborough, which was hosted by Wes Stakes from Yorkshire Coast Radio.
Headlands were up against teams from six different schools including Scarborough College, Graham School, St Augustineas School, Fyling Hall School and two teams from Whitby School.
After a nervous start, Headlands gained in confidence and made steady ground against some strong opposition.
Each team had three rounds a general knowledge, spelling and a themed round that was chosen at random.
