Qld: Man remanded on rape and torture charges
A 20-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in a Brisbane court
today .. charged with the rape and torture of a woman.
Police say he's accused of forcing the woman into bushes near the tennis courts at
Ernest Street in South Brisbane .. on November 29 .. before bashing and sexually assaulting
her.
The man's lawyer .. ANDREW HACKETT .. says no application for bail has been made.
The man's has been remanded to re-appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 11.
